Mount Greylock Extended Care Facility is a 100-bed, Skilled Nursing Facility that serves as the provider of choice for long and short term nursing home services in Berkshire County and the surrounding communities. Mount Greylock provides short and long term rehabilitation services, subacute services, and long term custodial care. It is an integral component in the continuum of care provided by Berkshire Health Systems insuring the right care, at the right time, in the right place. Mount Greylock is conveniently located less than 1/4 mile from Berkshire Medical Center, allowing for quick and easy access within the continuum.

JCAHO ACCREDITATION

Mount Greylock Extended Care has achieved accreditation from the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations. The facility has demonstrated compliance with the Joint Commission's national standards for long term care, which exceed federal and state requirements. A voluntary program, accreditation represents Mount Greylock's decision to be recognized for its efforts to provide quality care.

Mount Greylock Extended Care offers beautifully landscaped grounds including patios and a water fountain. Other accommodations include: furnished private and semi-private rooms, each with its own bath, lounge areas, a library, beauty shop, central air conditioning and excellent meals served in an elegant dining room with the comforts of fine dining. Set back 200 yards from the road, Mount Greylock is in a peaceful, relaxing, wooded setting.

To pursue an admission to the facility, a confidential evaluation will be arranged within 24 hours to determine the care needs for admission.

Bed availability and appropriateness will be determined and an admission will be arranged with the patient/and or responsible party.
